The AWE Studio is committed to helping everyone get in touch with their artistic abilities. At AWE Studio, everyone can develop into an artist, because everyone will gain confidence as they produce beauty, and practice the joy of self-expression.

Artist/Educator Janet Lia has been inspiring people of all ages to create artwork for over 20 years. She practices the gift of developing art with people which stimulates their confidence so that they create beautiful artwork.

The AWE Studio atmosphere is intimate, nurturing, and supportive. Classes are limited to small groups, or private sessions. Students receive plenty of individual attention.

Janet Lia has developed an absolutely unique method of teaching students painting and drawing, by creating spaces in a way that resembles modeling of form instead of outlining or contouring.

Classes in art techniques are offered at AWE Studio that can not be found elsewhere in Seattle such as: Veil Painting, Wet-on-Wet Watercolor Painting, and Mother and Child Art Classes. Additionally, there are classes offered using Janet Lia's unique teaching style in Charcoal, Pastel Drawing, Oil Bar and much more.
