This class will teach parents of home schooled children how to present painting, drawing and crayon pictures to grade school age children. Following Janet’s short presentation and art demonstration, participants will practice creating lessons based on the themes they are teaching their children. Sharing ideas and artwork will make this a lively and productive class for all.

Janet is available for private art instruction in a large variety of art mediums.  The cost per 1 hour session including all materials is $50 for individuals, $90 for 2 students and $105 for 3.  Parents and children may share a lesson.

Janet will modulate the lesson difficulty to meet the individual levels of the students.

If you have wanted to improve your drawing skills so that your paintings would benefit, then this is the class that will teach you about perspective, foreshortening, shading, drawing animals and more!  Each lesson will begin with Janet’s demonstration, followed by students practicing and applying techniques to build drawing skills. No previous artistic experience is necessary for this class.

This unique class will enrich home school curricula with activities that challenge and stimulate young authors.  Students learn a step-by-step guide to creating their own storybook, cookbook, picture book, dream book or anything book! Strengthen academic skills in reading, writing, and critical thinking, while gaining artistic instruction in painting, drawing, design, composition and creative writing.  Everyone will finish this class with their own individual book to keep and showcase forever!

Everyone will paint beautiful flowers using pure, vibrant watercolor glazes.  With supportive guidance, participants will easily create Georgia O’Keeffe inspired renditions of the floral photo they are working from.  Participants will discover how using glazes in a painting creates a profoundly satisfying foundation for flower close-ups and landscapes.  All levels of artistic skill are appropriate for this class.  Use your own photo for reference or one of the instructor’s.
