I have participated in art all my life, and continue to train by taking workshops and classes. The most formative of these has been completing a formal two-year training in the Beppe Assenza School of Painting, which has its source from Goethe's Color Theory. This approach to finding form out of color or tonal spaces gives my art and teaching the unique advantage of making imaginative inspiration accessible to everyone, not just the artistically gifted. Additionally, I maintain an active studio practice with art classes, private students, teach art blocks in local schools and to teacher trainees.

My art encompasses a breadth and diversity of visual mediums that reveal realistic portrayals as well as unique imaginative representations. I find an endless source of inspiration working with compositions which allow spontaneous themes to arise out of forms created by color or tonal spaces. Teaching gives me the opportunity to do a wide range of artwork, allowing me to learn through the work of my students.

Discovering myself as an Artist is an on-going process, and I am devoted to teaching people to find and develop their inner artists. My gift is being able to help students of all ages recognize their artistic strengths, thereby creating an atmosphere where they are receptive to further developing artistic skills and confidence. My goal is to teach students skills which are not limited to success in the art realm alone. Learning to overcome artistic challenges and problems by transforming them, students are also learning how to encounter inter-personal struggles successfully.
